Michael Beauchamp-Cohen

With his powerful voice and mournful guitar licks, Michael Beauchamp-Cohen spins beautifully melodic yarns about lost love, discovery, and the the playful allure 共 live music. Beauchamp is a native 共 Kalamazoo. He first cut his folk teeth writing, playing and recording in The Dumb and Ugly Club, and the Ambitious Brothers while attending the University 共 Michigan. Beauchamp writes songs that hearken back to old-time, bluegrass, and the '60's folk revival. He is part 共 the vibrant and growing Michigan music scene as a member 共 the Earthwork Music Collective - many 共 whose members helped him produce his debut solo album, My Northern Voices, released in 2008. In addition to his solo work, Beauchamp also collaborates with Upper Peninsula folk songstress Laurel Premo, in 红色 Tail Ring.
